Aladdin having to be a shot by shot, word by word remake of the original, it would so be pointless and so unoriginal if they do stuff like that, I'm actually glad that this version is based on the ballad of Hua Mulan because so that it doesn't offend the culture of China and it stays to the legend ballad I also don't mind about the changes at all either, for Mushu, I do agree that he is funny but honestly he can be very annoying at times, is way too cocky, and was such a self-centered asshole in Mulan 2, plus for a Chinese dragon, he was so weak and small and they are supposed to be powerful and strong, also dragons are mostly associated with men, anyway, All I have heard that Mushu will be changed into a Phoenix and its fits for Mulan since they are supposed to represent woman, so Im fine with that I'm also fine for it not being a musical because it would be so awkward and so out of place if they all singing while fighting in a freaking war, just be glad that they didn't fully remove all the songs from the film since they all will be instrumental background music, also reflection will be sung in the end credits by Liu Yifei and Christina Aguilera, so thats a good thing For Mulan having a new love interest, and I gotta be honest, I don't think she even needs to have once since I feel she is an independent woman who does not need a man and she can live without falling in love with some, but anyway, for what in heard, Shang is separated into two characters because of me too movement and the director thought it was weird that Mulan was dating and later married her own general, I know that in this film, he will be Donnie Yen as Commander Tung & Yoson An as Chen Honghui, so I would say shang isnt replace, they pretty much just rename him Also I know people are nitpicking about other thing like Mulan not cutting her hair, which I heard that in china, cutting someones hair would be considered a punishment and is a sign of disgrace, so that I dont mind Also just so you know, Mulan was never supposed to be a comedy and a lot of the jokes can be very racist at times, Im fine with the film being dark and serious since they are fighting in a freakin war and it has to be about the action and martial arts, which Im great with because I love Kung-Fu films, and it feels like you are watching a marvel movie or something Oh yeah, also for that whole thing about the actress that is playing Mulan who is claim of supporting the HK police and their brutality, I honestly feel that, she and almost every chinese celebrity was forced repost it by the CPP, because if they didnt, their career would get ruin and also their family would get taken away or possibly get killed, I just honestly think we shouldnt judge a person by a single act they do in their lifes, because you have no idea what her struggles are and you guys were not there when she fought her own battles, so beside all that, I think shell do great for the role and just be happy that Disney casted an actual chinese girl to do it, and I think that Mulan has always been one of the most bravest and strongest out of all the Disney Princesses, and also she is top 3 of my favorite Disney princesses, so yea, thats why I cant wait to see this movie and why I think this will do great.
